Lately I’ve been interested in reading “Random Facts” about me tags done by other fellow bloggers, this may or may not sound creepy but I like to get to know other bloggers outside the blogging community.

Speaking of, I also had the pleasure of being nominated formy first tag ever. The “Get To Know Me” and had an amazing time answering all the questions. Hence the the word more in the title. Haha!

I have to admit ever since the first tag, I’ve been hooked! Without a doubt I’m freaking excited to be able to participate in yet another 13 “More” Facts About Me Tag. 

I would love to give credit to my girl Shayla at Plus Diaries. She’s a fabulous personal stylist and a amazing blogger! I know if I like her,  you guys will love her! Definitely check her blog out, you won’t be disappointed.

1. What do you order at Starbucks?

🙂 This may sound.. unheard of lol but I never been to Starbucks ever. I heard they have amazing lattes! I just never got around to trying one lol. I know I’m horrible. I seriously can’t be the only girl that hasn’t tried Starbucks.. right? Lol

2. What’s one thing in your wardrobe that you cannot live without?

Right now, I cannot and will not leave the house without my comfy leg warmers. I live in Pennsylvania and let’s me just say, Mother Nature has her own agenda up here when it comes to the weather.

 This upcoming week is suppose to rain and snow (FML). However, As long as I have my leg warmers I’m a happy camper. Lol

3. What’s one thing most people do not know about you?
Most people have zero idea that I can outeat a grown ass man 😂. It’s as if I’m a cow and  have 4 stomachs or something! My stomach is seriously a bottomless pit for delicious food. 😋 (Now I’m hungry)

4. What’s one thing you want to do before you die?

I’m terrified of heights, so one of these days or decades..I’ll either jump out a plane or go bungee jumping. Both activities sound equally horrible lol but I have to conquer my fears.

5. What’s one food you cannot live without? Do you seriously have to ask? lol if you follow me on Twitter I’m always talking about my obsession for pizza and tacos. Especially the deliciousness of a taco. 🌮 

6. What’s one quote you live your life by?

If you don’t build your dreams, Someone will hire you to build theirs.”

This quote is what inspired me to start blogging again. If I want to progress in life I have to work hard each day tires that goals to see any type of progress. It’s now or later!

7. What do you like / dislike about the YouTube / blogging community?

Pro: For the small/beginner bloggers the blog and YouTube community is very supportive of one another’s work.

Con: Now I can’t speak for everyone, however we all started at the same spot once upon a time and it’s called the bottom. Some people get out quicker than others and some don’t have the opportunity of getting out hat spot. All I saying is, if a fellow blogger,writer or entrepreneur looks to your for support or guidance. That should mean something.

8. What’s the number one song on your iPod or iTunes?

This is what’s playing anywhere that has speakers and I have access to the aux cord.

9. What kind of style would you describe yourself as having?

I love anything cute, colorful and classy. Granted, I’m only 21 years old (I’ll be 22 in April) I’m still a mother and want to dress appropriately while out  with my family.

10. What is your favorite number?

The number 3, now that I think about it I don’t know why that number is my favorite. Maybe it’s because I’m the third child 🤔 but other than that, the number 3 has not brought me any luck at all. Lol

11. What are two hobbies?

Of course writing/blogging and I like to pretend I’m a contestant on Chopped and whip of random recipes using random items to see if it taste good- it never does. ☹️

12. What are two of your pet peeves? You want to know what grind my gears?! 

  1. People that eat with their mouths open.
  2. A slow driver. (MOVE IT GRANDMA!)

13. What is your guilty pleasure?

Late night Taco Bell trips. 😂🌮❤ it doesn’t get better than Doritos Loco’s Taco at 1 in the morning lol. I even know the staff by name because I’m always eating there. Is that strange? 🤔 I didn’t think so either! 😂

I’m Turning 22… Now What?

 I’ll be turning 22 in 3 months, 17 days, 6 hours and 50 minutes and counting.

Why is accepting that I’m getting older a hard pill to swallow? Is it the gray hair? Death? Wrinkles? Or there’s a 50/50 chance I’ll poo my pants if I laugh to hard? Haha Whatever the answer may be, I wish I can find the fountain of youth and go scuba diving all through it and stay young and alive forever! Wouldn’t that be cool?!

Turning 21 is a huge celebration for teenagers upgrading to adults. But what happens once you turn 22?

When I was 10 years old I use to sit at the top of my bunk bed and daydream for hours on how I wanted to be rich lawyer that own a law firm. By the age of 21 I thought I would have achieved a lot by now, degree in some sort, Traveled to atleast 25% of the U.S. and own a business. I had very high expectations for myself as a kid, Yet as I got older my childhood dreams of becoming a lawyer and owning a law firm became a vague memory.

Nonetheless, This isn’t the end of the world. Life isn’t a movie where there is a script or a retake. You can change the ending and title to your “movie” however you want it. You have to take the steps to get to achieve those goals plus more.

Even though 22 isn’t something you shot to the mountain tops over. However, this year will be my year to step out from the crowd, walk my own path and find my own destiny without no guidance and just follow my gut instinct!

How To Avoid Being the Grinch Around the Holidays 

Hello lovelies, The holiday season is without a doubt, My favorite time of the year. The Christmas carols, decorations and just the feeling of the holiday in the air. What can I say? I’m a sucker for Christmas.

 But what if your apart of the holiday wasteland? You know, That place we go every once in awhile, when we’re not in the mood for the holidays. Sometimes as we grow older, The holidays starts to feel like any other time of the year. And before you know it – we’re already in the new year.

It’s all apart of growing up, of course. However, The holiday season is a precious and valuable time to spend with family and friends. The more I think about the things that take me away from those happy moments, The more I try to avoid it to be filled with the joy and excitement of the holidays.  With that being said, the holidays can be a lonely and stressful time for someone, Thinking of the idea of being cheerful on the holidays is just wishful thinking for some. 

Luckily, There are some helpful tips to help you or anyone get into a more festive mood for the holiday season.

  1. Decorate your home/workspace | Decorating your home or work space is a great start to get into the holiday spirit. Hanging up wreaths, Playing Christmas music and hanging up the ornaments. Will definitely bring someone in the holiday spirit.
  2. Watch Christmas Movies | There’s nothing better than curling up on the couch on a cold snowy day with the tree lit watching everyone’s favorite holiday movies. Some of my personal favorite includes: Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Home Alone, The Perfect Holiday, A Christmas Story and more.
  3. DIY Christmas Crafts | One of the things I enjoyed doing the most as a child with my mother and siblings was build a gingerbread house. Making a gingerbread house not only brings out your creativity, it brings everyone together for laughs and fun. There are thousands of easy DIY crafts that will bring everyone together.
  4. Prepare Christmas Dinner | If your family ends the holiday with a beautiful dinner for the whole family to feast. Preparing or helping cook or serve the Christmas dinner is a great way to get into the spirit. Even though it’s not a 5 star meal, Your family and friends will appreciate the time and effort.
  5. Focus on the positive | Instead of dwelling on thing that stress you out. Focus on the meaning of the holidays – Being around your loved ones. Christmas is about helping and sharing the joy with others. Stop worrying about the gifts you didn’t purchase yet or the gift you had your eyes onare sold out. Enjoy the presence of the people you love.
  6. Look at Christmas Lights | Drive around your neighborhood and check out everyone’s Christmas display. There’s nothing quite like Christmas than seeing everyday houses transform into Christmas extravaganza during the holidays.

The Art of Letting It Go

There has been time and time again my kindness has been taken advantage of, And I finally got to a point I’m tired of it! I love helping people always has and always will. However, Using me just because you know I’ll say yes is very cruel and spiteful. But it’s okay, I’m sorry your were born with an ugly personality, sorry you have to pick on others to make yourself feel superior and sorry that you just have a cold heart.
I forgive you. No person can change who I am. Yes, I’ll be upset for a few hours but I will get over it, Because that’s who I am as a person and dwelling on the past just isn’t my cup of tea. Forgiving people is apart of life, If you hold a grudge it will eat you up trying to get even with that individual. Let it go, You will feel so much better under the sunshine and rainbows while that person is in the dark clouds and rain. Remember misery loves company, Don’t join them.

Stomach Cancer Scare: My Worrisome Procedure with the Gastroenterologist 

I knew I was afraid of being sedated but it felt as if I was standing outside my body, watching myself look at the reflection I seen before me. The day already started off unusual for me – I had an appointment to get an Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy performed at 9:30am that morning and I had to fast for 12 miserable hours! No food or drink, not even water for 12 hours. I repeatedly asked God what did I do to deserve this, Couldn’t even eat my favorite “nerves calming” chocolate chip pancakes before this traumatic moment I’m about to experience. A young “overall healthy” woman has to get a upper scope to find the cause of my 15 pound weight loss in a matter of a week and why I was vomiting blood. 

I’ve been eating hot and spicy foods for as long as I can remember – Hot cheetos to be specific and I think after almost 15 plus years of eating them delicious spicy food, It finally took a toll on my stomach.

It was an agony 42 minutes to get to the hospital and the sick feeling I was experiencing wasn’t trying to leave the pit of my stomach. My fiancé and I finally arrived to the G.I lab after getting lost for additional 10 minutes, Luckily I decided to arrive to my appointment an hour early! (Take that my lack of directions!) 

The staff was very nice which made my anxiety meter go from 9 to a 5. I had to be accompanied with a driver due to me being sedated for the procedure and the drugs would have to wean off. They gave my fiancé an alarm that will set off in four different colors to keep him updated during my procedure.

  • Pink: Waiting Room

I proceeded to follow the nurse back to a room full of other patients also receiving procedures, from colonoscopy to arthroscopy. The nurse gave me two bags to put my items in, 2 hospital gowns and a IV of saline in my right hand while I waited to get the procedure done. I tossed and turned the entire time in my hospital bed, watching as the technicians would roll each patient out the room to get their procedure done to never see them again (dun dun dun) lol just kidding. Finally after an hour and 36 minutes a male technician proceeded with questions of my patient demographics and proceeded me to the procedure room.

The technician was preparing me for what was ahead, asking me “Have I ever had a procedure done?” And “What were my symptoms?” After explaining I have been puking up blood and fainting on my coworkers for the past week in a half, I hope this procedure get the answers I need. He then proceeded to spray my mouth with a spray that will numb my gag reflex so that the camera can safely go down my throat. He told me to hold my breath and sprayed, He definitely didn’t warn me, because I could of sworn he got my tongue instead the back of my mouth. I asked to repeat the process but he insisted he had the right area affected with the medication, He then placed a mouth guard into my mouth that would keep my mouth open during the procedure. It was very uncomfortable, I kept thinking in my head “How do people find this kinky during intercourse?” Laughing in my head the technician interrupted my thoughts by telling me to drool on the paper towel – Gross! But of course I obeyed his orders. I felt like defenseless drooling all over that towel and the mouth guard made it impossible to stop the drooling if I wanted too. The specialist to perform the procedure greeted me with a wide bright smile and stated “If there’s something wrong on the inside, I’m going to find it.” I felt in great hands at that moment, and my anxiety meter went all the way to 1. She proceeded to check my vitals and started to put the sedatives into my IV. I didn’t like this feeling at all, My breathing began to slow down and my vision began to blur. It felt as if I worked 5 twelve hour shifts with zero sleep and I’ve been living off of Red Bull and coffee! AKA the sedatives we’re working. And in 1 second, Everything went black. I recalled the doctor either feeding the tube into my mouth or trying to take it out, However, of course I began to panic (I had a tube in my throat!) and made an attempt to swallow the tube (as if that would help me.) and all I remember the male technician yelling “She’s awoke!” And I went back out.

Red: Recovery Room

After gaining consciousness, the male technician proceeded to roll me out into the rocvery room where all the patients I thought I would never see again reside. He proceeded to tell me the doctor would be out shortly to explain what she has found during the procedure. Accompanied by my fiancé at this time, We we’re both alarmed and afraid. “What did she find?” “Can it be fixed?” I was offered graham crackers and apple juice after the procedure that I couldn’t bare to touch. My throat felt soar, and I felt woozy from the sedatives. 13 minutes later, the doctor accompanied my fiancé and I by the hospital bed separated with a sheet from the other patients. She began with stating she performed a biopsy during the procedure to rule out any infections or cancer. My heart dropped, not the “C” word. She stated the results will come back in a few days and depending on which day the biopsy completes, I’ll be eithered mailed a letter or contacted by the nurse of the results. She proceeds to say to make a follow up appointment in 6 weeks and to take it easy for the rest of the day. 

I felt deaf in both ears and didn’t want to believe that cancer may be the cause of my roller coaster of symptoms. I’m going to remain optimistic. That’s all I can do at this point.

See You At The Top!

Hello lovelies! Since I’ve been blogging I had the pleasure of speaking with some amazing people who own their successful  blogs and/or brands of their own. And I always had the same mindset of a boss! (Lol)

I was inspired to write this post after speaking with the knowledgeable and sophisticated Naftali Chirchir! We had a discussion about Lazy habits and how to avoid it and the conversation was a breath of fresh air!

Belief in yourself is an automatic positive attitude to excel in your goals or expectations that meet your reality. 

During the journey yes, you’re going to get frustrated, annoyed and may even want to give up. But because your not seeing results faster than you like, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t ride it out to the end. It’s a headache, but it’s also a liberating feeling. Not only do you have the responsibility for making the decisions,  But also seeing the final results good or bad and accepting the final answer for what it is.

Do something worth believing in. Trust me you can fool everyone else, But you can’t trick yourself into believing you have a passion when it’s false. It’s takes a lot of willpower to try something out of your comfort zone. However, with patience and consistency you will see the results that describe success to you!

Learn To Believe in Yourself 

Many of us wants more than life can offer us – Better health, happiness and wealth. Yet, only a few people get to meet their expectations during their lifetime. With the main reason why one doesn’t is because of excuses. An excuse is anything to justify not completing the task you set out for yourself to complete. Many people fail to achieve their goals/dreams/expectations by telling themselves, they don’t have to be “successful” to reach their goals. Incorrect, definition of success is the accomplishment of your purpose. Success is defined to meet your expectations, if you set out a goal to lose 20 pounds and you lost 30 pounds – you’re successful for achieving that goal. Work hard and it will pay off. 

Eliminate all your imposed fears and worries, and simply increase prosperity,productivity and happiness with a decline in problems. There should be more room for positive vibes, resources and energy to grow an improved version of yourself.

Do something worth believing in, Keep creating small goals and make a honest effort to achieve them, And a huge difference in work ethic will show profusely. Remain honest with yourself, even when no one is watching!

Useful Habits of a Productive Person

Hello lovelies, Everyone has their own methods for initiating productivity in their everyday life. We all have strengths and weaknesses in areas that others thrive in.  Yet, Why do we practice the habits of being a productive individual anyway?

The job title and duties has nothing to do with ones work ethic. A true productive persons goal aren’t to see who can do the most work – But the opposite, whom can do it accurately. Productivity is how you manage yourself as a person and selectively practicing certain habits to improve the older version of yourself.

As someone that takes pride in productivity, I have discovered and adjusted these essential habits in my everyday routine and boosted my productivity completely! And I want to share these easy habits.

  • Habit 1: Plan A Day Ahead- Effective people know what they need and want before the day ends and start. Having a set goal to complete for the following day, Gives you a well thought out reason to tackle each goal with 100 percent.
  • Habit 2: Eat Healthy and Regularly– We get our energy from the food we consume throughout the day. Pay attention to the way your body reacts to nutritional food and water once the junk food and caffeine drinks is cut from your diet. You quickly notice results in skin, hair, energy and best of all, confidence.
  • Habit 3: Failure is a learning experience– We’re not going to win every chance we have. Understanding to accept defeat as a learning experience can have the individual grow internally, And view failure as an opportunity to educate and go back and try again.
  • Habit 4: Say No to Multitasking– I always thought getting everything done before your shift meant you’re productive. Wrong, When I received angry emails of paperwork getting declined I realized, I wasn’t performing my job effectively. Once I did my work duties one at a time, My paperwork was excelling. Don’t rush.
  • Habit 5: Be An Optimistic– Focusing  on the brighter side of the things makes the day go by smoothly and positively. No it won’t be bright and sunny everyday, But learning to be optimistic throughout a stressful situation is a great skill to have.
  • Habit 6: Organize work area– Papers and folders all over your work area doesn’t scream productivity. The clutter doesn’t mean your lazy, However it stalls the work that needs to be done, which slows you down. When working in a organized workplace, you’re more focus on getting the job done than the distractions of the clutter.

After so many attempts of getting my workload completed just for it to get rejected made me finally understand it’s not about how much work is done, But how efficiently it was completed. And that also goes for exercising, Eating healthy etc.

Its up to you which one you want to adopt in your daily lifestyle.

My 5 Favorite Ways to Unwind

What’s your favorite way to relax? With a household of four along with their daily   sechdules, sometimes things in my household can get pretty hectic and quick.

However, I always try to make the best out of every situation and make sure I don’t stress along the way, not only is it bad for our health, It completely drains us of our energy to tackle the important tasks during the day.

After working a busy day, I like to do activities that focus on calming my nerves that bring me peace and sanity. Also, these tasks also stops my mind from racing in every direction at once which was a major issue I was dealing with. Nonetheless, each and every one of us was created with a hobby or activity we enjoy doing and brings us back to our “happy” place I like to call it.

Here are my 5 Favorite unwinds that I love doing after a long stressful day!

5.) Light Candles or Incense– There are certain oils that are created to relax the body. Incense are known for alleviating headaches, strain in the muscles and banish bad vibes. And the scents makes my home smell wonderful.

4.) Taking a Hot Shower or Bath- Nothing more relaxing than a warm bubble bath that soothes all the aches and pains in your body in the matter of minutes. To top it off soothing music, Phone turned off, candles and bubble bath. Talk about paradise in your bathroom! 

3.) Sleeping In– Who doesn’t enjoy sleep? I know I do, This means forget your alarm clock say “forget this!” I’m sleeping in pass noon. The beauty about this unwind is your sleep isn’t interrupted by an annoying evil buzzing alarm clock. And catch up on some much needed sleep. Only recommend if nothing important needs to be completed by a deadline.

2.) Read A Book– It can be a magazine, newspaper, your kindle IT DON’T MATTER! Put your phone down or matter fact turn it off, and go into your imagination for a half an hour or so and enjoy a good book. You would be amaze how a book can take you away from your worries for a few.

1.) Have A Drink.. or Two– Why not? After a long day a nice cold beer or a glass of wine after a stressful day can really relax my nerves for a completely. Do not use the excuse of stress to abuse the use of alcohol. If your a responsible drinker, There’s no harm in enjoying an adult beverage.

These are just the few unwinds that help me unwind my nerves and help me relax after a stressful day.

Love Thyself

Loving yourself is the first rule of a happier and positive life. When you love yourself your improving your life to become a better version of yourself. Understand that you are more than capable of rising above whatever obstacles that are in your path. Regardless if you win or lose, Making it to the finish line without anyone’s approval is a great self acceptance tip.

In order to love and appreciate yourself it’s up to you to discover what makes you stand out from the crowd. Its key to remember that no one is perfect, We all have strengths and weaknesses that can be worked on if needed, There many resources to improve what needs worked on. You are here to live for yourself, Stop giving others power to tear yourself down. Instead, Build yourself up.

You need to take care of yourself first. However, This goes beyond eating nutritional food or exercise. It involves treating yourself with respect.

Life is too short to live miserably, Start embracing everything you already have and stop ruining your chances of a happy life with negative thinking. Change your attitude and every day take small steps to love yourself. Make “loving yourself” a habit and learn to apply it to your lifestyle. 

Remember the first rule of happiness is loving yourself!
